FAQs
Will the 3660BTH work with my 36V golf cart or trolling motor?
The 3660BTH has a 38.4V nominal voltage and is intended for compatible 36V systems. Before ordering, verify that your golf cart controller, trolling motor, onboard electronics, and charging system accept a LiFePO4 battery with a charging voltage up to 43.8V. Also confirm the battery compartment dimensions, terminal position, and required discharge current.
Can one 3660BTH replace three 12V lead-acid batteries?
In many compatible 36V systems, one 38.4V 3660BTH can replace a bank of three 12V lead-acid batteries connected in series. Compatibility is not determined by voltage alone: the controller, motor, charger, wiring, required current, compartment size, and terminal layout must also match the battery specifications.
Is the 60A continuous output enough for my system?
The 3660BTH supports up to 60A continuous discharge and 100A peak discharge for 3 seconds. Check the controller's continuous and peak current demand rather than relying only on motor wattage. If the system can draw more than these limits, the BMS may activate overcurrent protection and disconnect the output.
Can I connect multiple 3660BTH batteries together?
You may connect up to four matched 3660BTH batteries in parallel, but they must not be connected in series. The manual lists maximum combined charge-discharge current limits of 60A for one battery, 100A for two, 150A for three, and 200A for four. Use matched batteries, equal-length cables, correctly sized protection devices, and a balanced wiring layout.
What charger should I use for the 3660BTH?
Use a regulated 36V LiFePO4 charger with a bulk and absorption voltage between 42.6V and 43.8V. The manual recommends 15A charging current, allows up to 60A, and specifies at least 20 minutes of absorption time. Equalization should be disabled and temperature compensation should be set to zero. A 15A charger generally takes about 4 to 5 hours from a deeply discharged state.
What happens when I charge the battery in cold weather?
The BMS disables charging below 23°F (-5°C) and allows charging again above 32°F (0°C). When a charger is connected, the internal heater activates below 41°F (5°C) and stops near 59°F (15°C), helping warm the cells before normal charging continues.
What can I check in the VolTrust Bluetooth app?
The VolTrust app lets you review battery information and operating status from a compatible iOS or Android device. Available screens may include state of charge, pack voltage, current, power, temperature, cycle information, individual cell voltage, and active BMS warning or protection records.
What should I do if the battery suddenly stops supplying power?
First check the state of charge and review the VolTrust app for overcurrent, low-voltage, temperature, or short-circuit warnings. Then inspect the connected load, cables, terminals, fuses, and breakers. If the battery entered low-voltage protection, use a compatible LiFePO4 charger because some lead-acid chargers may not recognize the reduced terminal voltage.
What certifications and test documents does the 3660BTH have?
The VolTrust 3660BTH is listed to UL 1973 by Intertek and is also CE listed. Product documentation also identifies MSDS and UN38.3 testing. Refer to the current certificate and product documentation when certification is required for a specific installation, authority, or commercial project.
How should I store the 3660BTH, and what warranty is included?
For storage, charge the battery to at least 50% or about 40V, disconnect all charging and discharging loads, and check or recharge it every three months. The 3660BTH includes a 5-year limited warranty, subject to proof of purchase, correct installation and use, and the current VolTrust warranty terms.
